Workspace Audit (/para-audit)
The Audit system is the immune system of a PARA Workspace. As projects grow and multiple agents interact with the file system, structural drift (loose files, misplaced folders, or missing metadata) is inevitable.
The /para-audit workflow is a specialized Macro Assessor designed to detect and report these inconsistencies.
π What the Audit Scans
When you run /para-audit, the agent performs the following checks:
| Layer | Check | Invariant |
|---|---|---|
| Root | No loose files allowed outside of core system files. | I1 |
| Pillars | Verification of Projects/, Areas/, Resources/, and Archive/. | I8 |
| Projects | Existence of project.md and active backlog.md. | I4, I2 |
| Libraries | Alignment between installed workflows/rules and the catalog.yml. | H9 |
π The Audit Report
After scanning, the system generates a dated report in Areas/Workspace/audits/audit-report-YYYY-MM-DD.md.
This report includes:
- Structural Integrity: Which invariants passed or failed.
- Drift Detected: List of loose files or inactive projects.
- Remediation Plan: Recommended actions (e.g., using
/para-rule standardizeor manual archiving).
π How to Run
Simply ask your agent:
βRun a workspace auditβ or β@[/para-audit]β
It is recommended to run an audit once a week or after major structural changes.
